question the shoulder demons want me!  I DO NOT want to do anything to put me out, New

I first injured it at the BigUn on Cheoah when I was rolling, my paddle caught a rock and jerked my shoulder, it felt like it was going to pop out, but didn't.  I could hear the bones schreeching together in my mind.

Then I did a practice roll at the put in on Russell Fork last weekend and hurt it again.

Today on the Upper ... where you do that elevator move just below the bridge at the WW Center, I hurt it
again.

It hurt for a minute, like I was gonna have to take off, then it burned a while, then it felt better.

Y'all, I cannot succumb.  I just can't.

What can I do to keep from further injuring my shoulder ?  I know I've got to stop high bracing, but
I think I've got to do more.

idea Sounds like it needs some rest. Off time now in the dry of Summer beats shoulder surgery and 6+ months with no paddling. duckypaddler New

feedback The high brace is no problem for your shoulder. It's that crazy fist high, arm stretched out thing you shouldn't do... Dale New
note Agree, better to rest and rehab now than to REALLY injure it - look into specific yoga exercises GRITS New
