shoes aren't too important to have on. i cant fit in my playboat with shoes, so i usually just clip some chacos or flip flops in the back of the boat. if you feel more comfortable with shoes on the desperado socks should be fine.

i fit in a fun fairly easily and im 6'1 with 12.5 feet. it's gonna be tight and fairly uncomfortable until you get your outfitting dialed in.

also consider getting the happy feet foot bag its only about 50 bucks but way worth it once you figure out how to use it correctly.

good luck
