I had a top surgeon, published on shoulders, had done pro athletes.  Open surgery.  4 months out on flatwater.  5 months on class 2-3.  6 months on class 4.  8 months on class 5.  9 months out, playboating on class 2-3, it pops out again while upside down (big wave).  Doc said to treat it like new after 6 months, and I was religious about PT, bands and light weights every day, and boating 4-5 days a week at 7 months.

It's really unstable now, but I'm not getting cut again until I have good reason to think it'll be more successful second time around.  Sold the playboat.
