Does anyone know what is the lowest level at which the upper Gauley is runnable. Hoping to make a creekin' run this weekend but afraid it might be too low even for that.

I've run it at 800 and it was a very nice Class III+ run. I know locals run it much

I know some folks who have paddled it down to 500. 850ish is the lowest I've done it.

700 is not bad

At 560 we ran everything but Iron Ring. It would clearly go, even lower than that.

It's still runnable at 370 cfs. Iron Ring gets easier and Lost Paddle gets tight.

700 on the low end and 4000 on the high I liked the 700 better.

I bet it's a lot easier to swim your barge to shore at 700
