	Asheville/Hendersonville ended 2007 with about a 1 foot rainfall deficit. March was about normal and it has been in the toilet ever since. We are now coming up on 9 inches below normal for this year, more than 20 inches of missing rainfall in the 18 months since the drought started in late January 2007. The French Broad and lots of other rivers around here have hit lows in late June that we didn't see until August of last year. It sucks!
