In 1956, those who could recite the Declaration of Independence or preamble of the Constitution, did & voted. Just like Julian Bond & Mr. King did. That is not hypocritical by any stretch of definition. It is exercising your rights while working toward positive change & management by any means legal, including "civil disobedience" to force a court of law to make a decision on the legality of an executive branch regulation. Far from hypocritical. They are only regulating one user group, highly illegal in the opinion of many. Those many happen to be citizens of the United States, not just "boaters". The "gimme" group is those who are trying to maintain an unfair, poorly managed use of a resource as their own, which in fact legally belongs to every one of us. That is a freebie if there ever was one. Can you say "entitlement"?
Still listening,
