I never have. Even if we had to strap him to the roof rack I have never left a paddler behind. It's a creed. I have ridin' from Obed Junction to Antioch Bridge with a stick shifter sticking me in the ass the entire way so as not to leave a paddler behind. What kind of person would look at a paddler and say smuggly, "You should have thought about a shuttle before you put on." and just leave him there stranded at an isolated take out? That happened to me in the early 90s and I swore vengence on the man. I swore then and there that if I ever saw that man again he would have HELL to pay. Seventeen years later I saw him at a canoe club function. He was older but still a smug little smart ass. He pretended not to know who I was. This was the perfect opportunity for paybacks. I had been waiting for all that time to get my revenge.
I let it go. I said nothing.
