...although I have a preference for the ones protecting your entire face and not just your chin.
Also, having a baseball cap model helmet and a face guard isn't going to be as useful as having a well covering helmet with a face guard.
I've added canoe polo face guards to the last couple of helmets I have had, and I still like that option due to the full protection of your face and the added stiffness to the helmet.
And yes, I still think that giving someone else hell because of their (safe) equipment is not done by decent boaters. Only a person with very low self esteem, low self confidence and bad social skills would feel any need to make someone they pretend to like feel bad. That's no way to act towards paddling buddies.
