a used necky jive 8.4. no I would chose the remix 59. IMO this is plenty of boat for your size and what you are looking to paddle. this will handle all the nearby runs from the lower to the cheat to the big sandy and the upper y to even fikes. if you get into any real hardcore creeking beyond that. you will need a creek boat. you want a river runner. the remix will be a good boat for you. spoken as an owner of a remix 69 and a jive 8.4 that i just outgrew weight wise.
