According to the Nashville NOAA storm accumulation layer, most of the Island Creek watershed got 3" in about 40 hours. The Knoxville (Morristown) storm accumulation layer was showing 2 - 2.5 inches in portions of the watershed since noon today (about 5 hours before we left for the run). So I and some other unfortunate boaters thought that it MIGHT go. We knew they we had a high probability of getting skunked, but didn't think we'd see THAT big of a skunk. There was pretty much no water at the put in. There were many pools, um puddles, in the stream bed, but pretty much zero flow between those puddles..... not even a trickle. Russell said the bottom of the gauge was well out of water. Here's the Nashville radar storm accumulation:
:
Using the legend in the top left corner, that's showing 3" in most of the watershed
You can get all of those map layers from the AW website
May you have better luck.....
