I'm pretty well locked into outfitting my Remix 69 (been paddling it for 2 months).
The huge seat will accommodate almost any size bottom.
However, I have rather short legs (5-8, 170#, 28" inseam) and while locked in at the knees/hips/feet, I feel a little forward in the seat (like I'm sitting a little too much over the water bottle bump) and would like to slide the seat forward a bit to put my but back down where it belongs. However, after much disassembly of the boat, it is still not clear to me how (or _if_) the seat even slides. I'm being cautious, as I don't know how it may be locked in and don't want to wack it too hard (I once broke a plastic pin on another brand boat this way).
Can the seat be moved? What am I missing? I've found what feels like a plastic molded track under where each side screw from the top is, but nothing nut-like beneath (as if the screw is contained within the track), and from what that looks like, it suggests the seat cannot be moved.
I also feel like I'm sitting a little low in the boat (which yes, will be enhanced by sliding my seat forward, based on my description above), so if the solution is some padding, can I remove the plastic pins that hold the seat cushion in easily (neednose pliers) without damaging them and then reinsert them?
