Hey I am looking for a new boat that I can start to relearn to paddle after being off the water for the past 3yrs due to shoulder injuries (many, many shoulder injuries). I have tried the Project62 and found that it was a huge boat. I have paddled the air60 and that was a big boat too. I am currently 200lbs, 6ft and 33inseam with size 10feet. I am looking for a boat that I can learn to cartwheel, loop and other basic moves like bow and stern stalling. I would also like a boat that is stupid easy to flatwater cartwheel. I am not looking to paddle big waves at the moment and do not really care about it's big air capabilities. I have been trying a nemesis but that boat is very uncomfatable after about 20minutes. I like how the boat sits in the water and I find that the ends will initiate with little effort. The boats that are for me in my weight range are all tankers and with the limited skills that I have I am finding it too difficult to drop an end. I want a boat that I can learn to do all the basic moves and paddle it while I continue to drop weight. I should be in the 185 range within the next two months.
What I am really looking for is a nemesis type boat that is that easy to play in but with a little more comfort. Here is the kicker.... I am unable to demo for I am a minimum of 7hrs away from any demo's. I have tried the boats that are in my area and that is all that I can go on.
Any suggestions????
