It could be that play boating was just a fad and folks are getting bored with it?  I am seeing more and more long boats, creek boats, and old school moves on the Ocoee recently.   Even Dagger (green boat) and some other kayak manufacturers are starting to produce long boats again.  Either way, the play spots are rarely crowded anymore.
