Your music choice can set the whole mood for the video, so you want to go with something that reinforces what you're trying to get across. Don't put on some friggin' rap piece because it's your latest favorite tune - figure out what the mood of the video wants to be (non-stop action, scary, pastoral, frantic, massive, etc etc) and get the tunes to play it up. If the music adds to the video I'm fine with acoustic, classical, country/bluegrass/roots, classic rock, funk, R&B, techno, heavy metal, jazzy rock etc (you can keep my helping of opera, too).
But, personally I like HEAVY MUSIC.
