I have run it at:
below 1 foot, not running. 1 foot was minimum 1.2 was a good low. 1.4 is probably optimum 1.6-1.7 and it might be getting pretty high.
Gauge is on upstream river left side of culvert, I think it is yellow.
You can often see the spike on the Cheoah gauge, though often this is a sign it has already peaked and is dropping fast, unless there is more rain in the area. Look for over an inch of rain on all the graham county gauges, particularly Wauchecha. It doesn't take a whole lot, but takes more than many would lead you to believe.
I don't think it is all that great, but the waterfall, few slides, and boogie below the falls is fun, and it is very tiny, which is always fun. |
