We are all human here at Jackson Kayak and we will make mistakes from time to time that creates a boat that doesn't hold up like it is supposed to.  THis is what a warranty is for.  At Jackson Kayak we stand up to our warranty and we make the tough, lightweight, high performance, well outfitted, comfortable, dry boats.    It doesn't matter what year boat you have, we will always make mistakes from time to time.

We made a bunch of blue boats last year that were undercooked, simply because for some reason that single color needed more time in the oven then the others and we didn't know it right away.   We eliminated blue this year only because people get in the equivelent of a sewing circle and by the time it is all over they have all kinds of wacky theories about why all blue boats from JK are bad.    Eliminating Blue is to eliminate that issue as best as I know how.

Design flaw that a boat broke under the wall?   No chance.   The only flaw is that the boat was no processed properly and that is where it took the hit that broke it.

I can promise you one thing, and that is that I would rather have my warranty rate than any other manufacturer in the industry.    Nothing is tougher in the market than Cross-linked polyethylene, and we don't spend all of the extra money to use it just to throw it away.   We recoupe some of that money by breaking less boats and we are trusted because people know our boats are stronger, and those who don't know, at least know we'll take care of them if something happens.  This is the benefit of being able to work with the owner, who is on the water everyday and wants more than anyone to have the best boat.
