I was told by an instructor when I first started to aim for the middle range plus or minus 10 pounds. Seems to be a good rule of thumb. I have had a boat that was too small before and never felt confident in it except in class 1,2. After that you become very aware that too much of the boat is underwater. I tried tha Agent recently and thought it was pretty edgy, went with the 08 All Star. Thought it was great for play and much better down river. You might want to demo a Super Star.
