If you just did one, that blade would be closer to the shaft index ovaling where you put your hand. I doubt you can get the blades off anyway. They're probably epoxied to the shaft. Just cut the center ya' sissy. It's the best way. If you don't like it, just remember it's your own damned fault for buying a paddle that's too long in the first place.
