	I did that once on a paddle I knew would just be for class II and the first time I left it in my car on a hot day the PVC pipe softened and I had a cool V shaped paddle shaft. Once I got a carbon ferrule from a paddle manfacturer near boulder (can't remember the name of the place) but now I use wood since I'm not sure they are still selling those.
