This weekend and the final two weekends, there will be a free shuttle for your boat up to the field provided by the park service. PLEASE help tie your boats on the trailer and truck and do not just walk away and leave that for the driver to do. She's really nice and will help, but it's not her job to tie your boat on.
For Gauley Fest Weekend and the following weekend, it will be the same as always with the WVRC u-haul truck for $5. This is a great fund raiser for preserving, protecting, and restoring the rivers of West Virginia, so I'm stoked that they are allowed to keep it up.
If you want to avoid all of that chaos, I hear the parking lot at Woods Ferry is really nice and that you can park right next to the river. It's signed all the way down on the road, just keep driving past the field and follow the signs to Woods Ferry.
