It is hard to imagine that we have such dirt bags in our community of felllow boaters, who are not only too cheap to buy a green key, but also think they are entitled to take the gate/fence apart when they get locked in. Yesterday several observers witnessed a group comming up from the upper take-out, taking the fense/gate apart when they were locked in. Only one boater in the group could be identified. That individual is a female who frequents the Green and even paddles the narrows rather frequently. She feels she shouldn't have to buy a key because she doesn't think her money is going to the cause of securing permanent access. WTF? I think that all of us who hold a key would agree that we are VERY fortunate to have a place to park and that our current system is working. If you don't, go park at the dam or have someone run your shuttle for you. Hopefully with gas prices on the rise, these cheap ass people will stay at home with their fingers up their ass wishing they had some place to paddle! In the future, any individual caught taking the gate or fence apart, will either be restrained until the local Hendersonville Sheriff's dept. can arrive or have their tag number turned in to face trespassing charges. Hello all you dumasses out there, you are breaking the law which is called trespassing! Not only is Mrs. Ring and lease holders fed up with the bullshit but so is everyone else who donates to the cause. Isn't it crazy that it has come to this? Why not just wait around until someone shows up to let you out. It is one thing to be too cheap to buy a key but when you start taking the fence/gate apart you are breaking the law and being very disrespectful for those of us who actually care and want to keep our access. All of us need to do our part to eliminate/prosecute those who are so selfish and self consumed to ruin it for us all. |
