note Why does everybody on this forum assume that everybody else is an idiot? New

Every time that I come on this forum in hopes that there is some shred of useful or interesting information I have to filter through enormous amounts of bullshit.  What I usually find is some poor beginner getting railed for asking a simple question that more experienced boaters usually take for granted or someone getting berated for trying to make themselves look like too much of a badass.  My question, I guess, is are we really this childish or have we just run out of interesting and useful things to say?  I'm not trying to point fingers or place blame on anybody; I'm just wanting to see what people think on this issue.
