I have a 420 and I do like the the outfitting.  I agree that if you don't have a bulkhead (like a creekboat) that a shaped foam block is the way to go.  The 2 problems I have with my Pyranha outfitting is that the screws are always loosening up so I check them everytime I paddle and tighten them often.  The second problem is that the thin cord that goes between the backband and rachetts came untied and I can't seem to keep the knots from slipping.  It sucks when your backband looses tension when you are not expecting it and you slide back behind the seat.

more also... try lock-tite or just a dab of aquaseal on the threads of the screws granolapaddler New
