I've had a medium Ammo for exactly one year and have tried it on all sorts of water. High volume rivers (Lower Yough at 7 feet and local river at over 5,000 cfs), low volume creeking (Top Yough 450, Upper Yough at summer release, Meadow Run at low water) and things in between and most recently Upper Gauley at fall release.
It did great in each situation. It performed best in the low volume creeking realm, but also performed well on the other rivers. It does great at exactly what it was intended for: a boat for creeking class IV+ and big water when you don't want your playboat, above all a boat for everything.
I have no complaints anywhere, but did notice a little edginess on the Upper Gauley between the 3rd and 4th drops of Lost Paddle, but think you would in any boat and I am sure it was less than what you would experience in a playboat.
I haven't used my playboat much at all this year as I have either used the Ammo M or my creekboat the CFS. At the Moosefest, if it is low with little rain, I may take the Ammo, but if it is over 4 feet, I will be taking the CFS as this is one of the most forgiving creekboats I have paddled. The Ammo is by far the most fun boat I have paddled. It boofs like a dream and runs rivers surprisingly well.
I did have an interesting time in the eddy at Iron Curtain on the UG and the boat handled fine, but I am not sure what boat would have gotten me out of there regardless of what I did, but that is another story.
