all i wore last winter was my drytop and some neoprene pants. if you want to be even warmer, wear some splash pants over them, and/or fleece pants under.
***but that is provided you dont plan on swimming too much, if you dont have a roll, or are going to the nanty a lot then you may get cold in that, but when i was a newbie i didnt really paddle in the winter so i dont know lol.

other recomendation: you mentioned gloves but i would totally recomend pogies, gloves never really keep my hands warm at all but my pogies work great.
