The money doesn’t have to come an agency just the "funding”. Their regulations state that it ($$$$) must come from an agency.People/Organizations can give “grants” to organizations
Calfkiller…that gauge from all around perspective is very important especially with the drought going on. We need to know the water supply situation. That gauge feeds a lot of data. I was working…was ..note the word was….on more correlations for the Sequatchie runs , Rock Island area runs. And 3 undiscovered runs…. Now I’m wondering if I ‘m wasting time…those runs are gems.
To me all of this is a little disheartening. I’m old school and going back to the stone age of not having internet gauges is going to suck. Imagine driving to a creek on a chance of water and going by gut feeling only. Rain gauges help a little bit…That’s way it use to be …and it sucked …more than once we got skunked …back in the day I was the guy who got the call what’s running, it was black magic without the internet…it’s how I bagged 21 First D’s….and now we are about to take 2 steps backwards WTF...The good ole days weren't when it came to wanting paddle somewhere...
The agencies that funded the Tellico and Calfkiller are a hodge podge of funding and they are the bastard kids of the gauges…and they don’t get the funding,and now budget cuts on top of that
