I've canoe camped various sections of this run more than a dozen times and I can't imagine a better place in the Southeast for a canoe camping trip. It does get scrappy below 300 but you can easily run Devils Jumps (a true clss IV at higher levels) with a loaded boat but you probably wouldn't want to attemp it loaded much higher than 300. I've ran the canoe section from about 180 to up near 6000 cfs and its all good. And the upstream whitewater section is a good III/IV run depending on level but I've never tried it in a canoe at low water.
