Little River Canyon in Alabama. One of the prettiest canyons in the SE, about 2 hours from ATL. From Class III to V depending on where you put in. Tellico in Tennessee, about 3 hours. Great roadside class III-IV with fun boofs and ledges. Some others that run less frequently are the Upper Conasauga in NW GA (needs heavy rain and runs off quickly), South Sauty in AL (3 hrs), fun class III-IV creek run. Amicalola in Jasper (1 1/2 hours) is a class II-III(IV) run that has a loooong paddle out. Class II runs closer to ATL are the Upper Chattahoochee above Lake Lanier and the Cartecay. There are some metro Atlanta runs but the water quality sucks.
