I'm talking about.........If it rains the ACOE has to release the water anyway regardless of any environmental consequences........also if it rains the RF will most likely come up a little and could help buffer temperature and dissolved oxygen and other variables from the inflow of the pound.  If you schedule releases that have nothing to do with rainfall then you are creating additional problems...........however, as far as the trout go I don't think they are native species anyway.......The RF was historically more of a Small Mouth Bass/ Walleye stream whose numbers seem to be increasing downstream.......Like I said before I'm no fish scientist but I can't imagine releasing cold and now I know low oxygen water into the stream is good for any native species..........but if you have to let the water out anyway........let's boat on it but not exacerbate existing impacts just for the sake of boating.
