Thanks for the feedback guys - you're everything I've come to expect from years of internet chatting.  The Peak wins because:

1)  Good Quality
2)  Local dealer has the line
3)  Local dealer has them IN STOCK
4)  Friend discount

By the way, I blew off the Level Six - the neck gasket system was too damn tight with no outer zip system, but mainly the waist tightening straps looked like they would work great but looked like a snag hazard and would feel exactly like my pfd straps if I were trying to get out of it.
