Throw the boats and gear in the back and go.  If you have a camper shell you can sleep in it too.  No worries about dirt, wet, and smells either.

Late model Tacoma is a great paddling vehicle.  They last for ever.  They have little or no mechanical problems either.  I got 270 miles out of my last one and it was still running when I sold it.  The transmission and suspension needed work and I already had a couple of newer cars that  I could take to the river.
