Hi all-
I noticed from a few of the previous posts that some feel like the Watauga may run tommarrow. I just checked the gauge and it is 134 and rising. If it does run tommarrow, I'd love to join someone for a run. I have a 5-hour drive to get there, so I can't be in the area until around 11 and would perfer if it came up to at least 220 cfs. I have run the gorge 3 times but don't remember any of the lines except the big two, so I'd love to meet someone who knows the run. Please post here or call if you are planning on running it and are open to me joining your group. I'll be up till midnight tonight and will be up by 6 tommarrow morning. Just to ease your mind that I'm not some wierdo, I'm very comfortable and familiar with runs like the upper yough, upper gauley, and lower big sandy.
Let me know if things develop
