I am 165 and paddle a medium Ammo.  Last summer I paddled it a bunch on the Upper Yough and then took it on the Upper Gauley during festival weekend.  It is perfect for the Upper Yough at summer flows.  In the spring and at higher water, I would want something bigger.  I am not a playboater, so it was perfect for the Upper Gauley.  I didn't notice a lack of speed at any time, but most people are in little playboats anyway.  It is nice when ferrying and when hitting all the little boofs on the Yough.  I can't believe more people aren't paddling it as well.  It is really alot of fun.
