	They are exactly what you're looking for. It took me a year, including a 2 month expedition to New Guinea, a 2 month expedition to Tibet, 3 weeks in Congo, dozens and dozens of local day creeking runs and one local overnighter for them to finally blow out. They are tough as nails, stick well, provide great support and can handle a hike if you're wearing the right socks. They've been on the market for about a year and a half now--anyone else out there worn a pair out yet? Andy
