Hi guys,
Was wondering if anyone here could give me some info on the Fu.
Particularly, what time of year is good to go there? I was thinking a trip around January...
How hard is it? i know it's big water, but reading the guide book suggests it is class 2-6... that's a big range. Is the harder stuff portagable?  How does it compare to stuff like the Zam and White Nile both in technicality and consequences?
What is the grading system like? Is it 'cushy African grading' or 'NZ grading'?
Do most people do day trips, or can you do most of the river in a big long stretch?

Any outfitters that you would suggest?
Lastly, if you had the choice, would you go to the Fu, creeking in Chile, Ecuador or Costa Rica? I'll be in Lima, so flying to any of those places is probably reasonable.

Thanks for any ideas you guys have!
