I know the park and the Nantahala very well.  If you are comfortable running the entire Nantahala, then you would not have any problems running the far left channel on the wilderness side down past sunset rapid (the last take out spot before M-wave).
From M-wave down is some pretty solid class III stuff with a very sticky hole in the middle of it.
I would advise that you bring your boat and check it out for yourself before trying it.
It might not be "real" whitewater, but for those of us that live in Charlotte it is a great place to improve our skills and blow off some steam.
