I've been wearing a pair since February '08 - last count about 72 river trips on them. They're comfortable, easy to get on and fit well in my Stretch and Everest (I'm a size 11). The soles are not super grippy on wet rocks and though they have a little padding for the outside ball of your ankle, there's not really any ankle support for treacherous hiking. I should note that they can be a little hard on the heel area when hiking due to the projection where the sole wraps up onto the neoprene upper - but this is easily remedied by wearing a pair of 2mm neoprene socks under them. Durability-wise, they've held up great with one exception... The plastic loops for the velcro adjustment straps are stitched to some material that is then stitched to the neoprene. After about a month, I had one of these tear off. It would be better if they had sewn the loops onto the body of the shoe w/ webbing instead. Doesn't matter though, they feel great and stay on just fine w/o the strap. |
