...that AW and a few local boaters have been working for years. I'm no attorney and know nothing about King's Grants, but I'd be surprised if they could be "annulled". Right now the real question is does the landowner actually even HAVE a King's Grant...it's technically HIS responsibility to prove that he does, but it would take a bit of a dedicated push (by boaters/AW) to get it to that point.
At any rate, there are several who know far more than I do...but it's doubtful they'll chime in here. Best bet is to contact AW...at this point they have other priorities--it seems as though the question "what's the status on Johns Creek in VA" comes up on BT about 1-2 times per year at most. Until the interest increases and the right boaters w/ the right commitment and knowledge step up, I don't see the situation changing.
I know John's is being run when it's up...some "stealth missions", and apparently a select few that have permission from the landowner. |
