I look at it like this...

If Jimmy wants to paddle EVERY SINGLE DAY OF HIS LIFE --in "near poverty for 25+ years" as you put it -- and feels that he needs to charge people $500 for $50 of wood and a few man-hours of labor for his "art", then fine...

I'll just buy the "kids" stuff... then I'll have enough money left over to buy last years hot playboat.
