"your obvious ignorance displayed by your post"

Personal attacks are so puerile aren't they?  I thought we were all mature adults here, capable of carrying out an intelligent debate without resorting to insults and derrogatory comments.

All I am saying is this:

Why trash the "little guy" because he makes a product that resembles something you respect so dearly, yet is not of the same quality -- according to the "experts"?

Do you paddle a planing hull?  Bet you do/did.  Someone invinted that once too... and what do you know... EVERYONE copied it.  That is the nature of the beast.

Do you buy generic or name-brand pharmaceuticals?

The point is simple.  Are the "kids" paddles of the same quality... probably not.  Are they worth $275?  For sure.  I'd rather shell out $275 for a "less than Jimi quality" wood paddle than $260 for a Werner carbon-fiber that's going to shatter the first time I smack it on a rock.

Do you honestly believe that the "kids" sales are going to even remotely effect Jimi's buisness?  VERY highly unlikely.  Why?  Because there will ALWAYS be the kayakers that have more than enough money to spend on their pastimes... and from a completely stereotypical point of view -- the people with the money won't live with less than best... for status' sake.
