My dog was on an orange runner tied to a dark grey Chevy Silverado truck at the put in for the middle Ocoee today (sat, Aug 2). When we returned to the truck, we found our dog (a blue healer -- black, brown and white with a black "mask") had been Very Badly bitten (on the rear end -- not funny either). She currently is at the Cherokee emergency vet having (so far $500) surgery.
We obviously are extremly upset about this. If anyone has any info about what dog may have done this, what they look like, etc, we would like to know.
Also, I know there are people out there that are going to say that we shouldn't bring her baoting for one reason or the other. We would apreciate not hearing these posts. Our dog loves to go with us and actually gets really excited when we bring her backpack out to load. She loves being outdoors and loves being around other people and dogs. We are very picky about where we leave her, and she is always on a runner in the shade when we are gone and leashed in the parking lot when we get back to change. She knows that after "boating" that we will be camping where she can play frisbee all night.
