In the Nantahala gorge, the classic question is, "why do the trees get taller the farther away they are from the river?" A fellow guide's response to that one: "so that more of them will fit in the photograph."
When kayaking, a raft full of folks politely informed me that the water was flowing the OTHER way, as I paddled up to a hole. I was wearing my Powerpawz, and later the same raft asked how I broke my paddle.
Best dialogue:
Random Tourist Guy: "So do normal folks sit in them things?" Me, slightly confused: "Umm... What do you mean?" RT Guy: "Like, folks like me sorta..." Me: "Same way I'm sitting right now. Yknow, legs straight out in front." Guy: "Oh, I didn't know you had legs... I'm very sorry ma'am."
Hmmmm.
