	I lived there for a year and a half before moving to Boulder. Longmont is 30 minutes from Denver and 30-40 minutes from RMNP. I think it is a nice community with a historic downtown area. There are other towns that are more centrally located for a longer boating season, but Longmont isn't too bad. You will be 45 minutes north of I-70 which will take you to the mountains for boating in the second half of the season when the front-range runs have dried up. Post on mountainbuzz.com if you want more info. That is the Colorado equivalent of boatertalk.
