We park a land rover at the top of a steep putin trail. (Ive never even ridden in a land rover) My 3 paddling buddies immediately have all their gear on and start walking down the trail. It takes me like 5 minutes to get all mine on. (this is opposite usual real life, were Im usually first to the water) Well I take a look down the trail, which sorta looks like panther creek, but Im worried they wont wait on me at the bottom so I get in my boat and start sliding down the insanely steep mountain side. I break my paddle bracing off a tree, bust my helmet in half bouncing off a tree, and rip my pfd off on a branch. I get to the bottom still going mach 3 and launch off a 50ft cliff into a large pool right in the middle of my buds. They dont say a word and I reach in and get my hand paddles. We do drop after drop off 20-30ft with me having no saftey equipment, (just hand paddles and a skirt, and the helmet which is hanging in two pieces around my neck) Finally at the end of the dream there is a slide with a huge hole at the bottom. I run the meat and get looped back to the top of the slide!! I run it again and go deep. I start to panic and then realize its a dream and I can control it. ( I love when that happens, (quite often in my dreams)) So I paddle up to the surface with the hand paddles and im in the middle of a serene tropical ocean. (In my dreams when I realize its a dream I cant ever control the locations, just my actions, and they are still dictated to reacting to the conditions of the dream) Nobody is around and I can see the bottom of the super clear water ands its a reef. I fill the boat up with water and paddle around the reef like a submarine...my memory fades after that. God I wish I could have more ones like that!!! |
