Christmas morning I recieved from my family:

"Carbon fiber, bent shaft, adjustable offset, Werner Touring Paddle".

It was something that I was considering down the road in a couple of years.  But way too expensive now - am kind of cheap.  I am truely touched by this.  Have I got a wonderful family or what.

I have a greenland paddle for touring, but I have been using a Werner Kauai, 220 cm, touring paddle for white water.  It is a two piece paddle jammed, locked in the unfeathered position, can't break it loose. Way too long.   Plus I have arthritis in my hands and wrist so can only use a unfeathered paddle.  The bend shaft will help.   I need a good unfeathered ww paddle.

Anyway the paddle was too small.  Might fit someone in the lower five foot range but not a six foot person.  So I took it back to Southwest Paddle Sports and traded it in (ordered) for a Waterstick Zen, unfeathered, bent shaft, carbon fiber white water paddle.  Paddle should be in in a couple a weeks.

Safe Paddling
