I went to watch at Broken Nose for a little while with two newbies, and waited and waited... I had described the line and was hoping to see some yaks run the line. However nothing but rafts were coming down. Yawn. Then as we got up to leave I saw several kayakers and one canoe come barrelling down w/out catching eddies; to my surprise rather than going left they all went straight down into the hole. (WHY would they do that? Just for me I guess!) I got to see two yaks mix it up in the hole, then one yak and the canoe, then add the swimming canoeist, his canoe, and the yak. Then the hole kept the canoe solo for a few turns in the hole, he finally waded up to it and snagged it. It was a nice yellow Esquif. I admit that I highly enjoyed this carnage, and am a contributor to carnage lovers myself in this same spot on occasion.
