I have just come from the Miami premier of the movie Farenheit 9/11. Let me say it is likely the most powerful, shocking movie I have ever seen, and I would be surprised if your reaction was not the same. Regardless of your political leanings, you really owe it to yourself to go see this movie. I think even died-in-the-wool Republicans will be surprised - and hopefully disgusted - to discover the ties between the Bush family and Saudia Arabia, culminating in the evacuation of members of the Saudi royal family and (incredible!) members of the Bin Laden family two days after 9/11; and how George Bush invited Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia to the White House for dinner 4 days after 9/11.
However, if that does not make you sick, scenes of death and destruction in Iraq certainly will, or the speeches from the meeting of corporations in Washington, discussing how to make money off the war and reconstruction in Iraq, at the expense of our soldiers.
And finally, scenes of soldiers permanently maimed from the war, with no legs and no hands will tear at your heart and soul. Or one middle American mother's transformation, from a proud military Mom, supporter of Bush, to a grief-striken Mother, whose son was killed in a helicopter crash in Iraq.
See the movie, then YOU decide if you want four more years of what you see laid out in raw detail.
Go, then decide how you feel about the movie and about George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, and - worst of all, George H.W. Bush.
