I don't know exactly what the flow was, but it was "running" and the lower was definitely not low. There were signs all over saying "High Water and Dangerous Rapids No Swimming", but you know how it goes. I'm sure they were having a great time until this woman found out what "dangerous rapids" is all about.
I'm really interested in what went through the paddlers mind. He was a good boater and could likely have paddled out of humongous, but as I said I think he decided that he could help her more out of the boat. |
