question Paddle offset questions (kinda repost). New

Forum: BoaterTalk

From: Scootah

Is there any real advantage to having the blades offset in a white water paddle? (Besides the wind factor and maybe we are so used to them because we have always used offset paddles!)

Maybe a bit of offset is more ergonomic or powerful? What is the optimal offset then?

Does a 0 (zero) degree offset have any disadvantages?

Just questioning the establishment that gives us offset paddles without any explanation!  =^)
