Hey Everyone,
I do not post on here very often....but I am Eric Davidson's fiance, Kris Bundy.
First of all I would like to put out a HUGE thank you to our Heroes of the day, Ryan and Eric. The river was really deserted that day and except for our small group at Callahan's there would have been no one to rescue her.
We began the day at Callahan's and at first there were a few people there. I had only taken a few rides when I missed my roll several times and took a bad swim to well below the bridge. Eric came to my rescue and was able to get me to the shore. (Thank you also to Aaron, Jeff and friend who came to help, and also to our friend JJ who was actually raft guiding at the time and jumped out to help also!!)
I decided to call it a day and hang out on the sidelines because I got a little banged up. Then later that afternoon we saw Jessica coming down the river, and again Eric and also Ryan came to her rescue.
I am extremely thankful that there are boaters on the river who have developed excellent rescue skills and I hope that we all learn from this and strive to improve our own skills too. |
